3 Great Halloween Events near Vallejo, CA

Halloween Events | Avery Greene Honda | Vallejo, CA

Here at Avery Greene Honda, we love October. In addition to the pumpkin food and drinks, this month brings plenty of fun frights. Here in the San Francisco Bay area, you’ll find plenty of ways you can celebrate the spooky season this year — including these great Halloween Events near Vallejo.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Fright Fest

If you like thrills, Six Flags is the place to go. In addition to white-knuckled rides on soaring roller coasters, guests visiting the amusement park during October can experience a variety of Halloween-themed entertainment. Walk through the haunted attractions (if you dare), snack on some pumpkin treats while watching a live show, and come face-to-face with costumed ghouls on the streets. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is a must for adrenaline junkies during October!

Vallejo Floating Pumpkin Patch

For families in Vallejo who prefer less scary Halloween activities, head to John F Cunningham Aquatic Complex on October 23-24. That weekend, the massive pool will be filled with pumpkins. Instead of picking your favorite gourd from a patch, you will have to swim to nab that perfect jack-o-lantern from the Floating Pumpkin Patch.

Annual NorCal HearseCon

We at Avery Greene Honda are massive gearheads, so the Annual NorCal HearseCon at Halloween’s NightMARE Island is a highlight for us every year. What could be better at Halloween than a spooky car show? Check out the many decorated hearses as the costumed undead model with them on Saturday, Oct. 23.

4 of the Top 10 American-Made Cars Are Honda

Honda Lineup | Avery Greene Honda | Vallejo, CA

When you think of American vehicles, you might not think of the Honda brand — but you should. That’s because 4 of the top 10 American-made cars in the U.S. are Honda models.

According to Cars.com’s American-Made Index, Honda has more vehicles built in America than any other brand. The Ridgeline, Odyssey, Passport, and Pilot are all manufactured in Lincoln, Alabama. The Honda Accord also made it into the top 20, as it’s built in Marysville, Ohio.

What does it mean to be American-made? It’s more than just where the pieces of the car are assembled; it’s about where those components themselves are sourced and who does the work.

Of the 90 vehicles assessed and ranked by Cars.com, Honda placed in the top 10 multiple times. Evaluators scored each one on five primary categories: assembly location, parts content, engine origins, transmission origins, and U.S. manufacturing workforce.

You can’t judge if a car is domestic or not based on the origin of its badge. You have to consider the U.S. jobs that the automaker produces and where the work is performed for the company.

So if you’re looking for a true American truck or SUV here in Vallejo, California, you can find it at Avery Greene Honda. We have the Ridgeline, Odyssey, Passport, and Pilot in stock, whether you want to buy them new or used.
