Honda Truck Sales Set New Record in January

2020 Honda Ridgeline in Vallejo, CA

January has started the Honda sales year off on the right food. For the 2020 year, this automotive brand has managed to set a Honda truck sales record that is only expected to get better as Honda introduces the all-new 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid later this year.

“As we enter a new decade, we will continue to focus on our core values and maintain the kind of sales discipline that has made us a retail sales leader in the industry,” said Henio Arcangeli Jr., senior vice president of the American Honda Automobile Division. “The arrival of our new CR-V Hybrid next month will also bring new opportunities to further strengthen our light-truck lineup and extend our two-year streak of record electrified vehicle sales.”

When the CR-V Hybrid arrives, it will be the first electric vehicle in the Honda light-truck lineup. Its fuel-efficient powertrain will also be considered the most powerful powertrain option in the CR-V lineup, making it a solid option for those looking for an everyday driver. You will also still get the family-friendly features and ample interior space you have come to expect from the CR-V.

The Honda truck lineup saw many year-over-year sales increases in January. The HR-V posted a

24.8% increase, which is an all-time record for the model. The Ridgeline saw a significant sales increase of 57.1% for the month with 3,083 deliveries. In total, the Honda truck lineup had an overall increase of 2.3% in its year-over-year January sales.

2020 Honda CR-V Named Green SUV of the Year

2020 Honda CR-V

Efficiency and family-friendliness come together in the 2020 Honda CR-V. That’s why this crossover was recently awarded the title of 2020 Green SUV of the Year from Green Car Journal.

The 2020 CR-V is now on sale at dealerships across America, while the CR-V Hybrid is arriving at dealerships soon, making it the first-ever Honda Hybrid SUV in the American market. The CR-V will come standard with the Honda SensingÒ suite of safety technologies and a more powerful powertrain on the LX trim: a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder.

This is the sixth time that Honda has earned this recognition from Green Car Journal. Last year, the 2019 Insight earned the Green Car of the Year award, joining the 2012 Civic Natural Gas, 2014 Accord, and 2018 Clarity Plug-in Hybrid, Clarity Electric, and Clarity Fuel Cell. The 2016 HR-V also earned the title of Green SUV of the Year.

The addition of the 2020 CR-V Hybrid model is part of the brand’s pursuit of its eco-friendly goal, which is to halve its global CO2 emissions by 2050. To do so, Honda aims to electrify two-thirds of its global automobile sales by 2030. In 2019, the brand’s American electrified vehicle sales were up 34% from last year with more than 50,000 hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and fuel-cell vehicles out on the road.

Just because you need an SUV doesn’t mean you can’t drive green. Learn more about the efficient 2020 Honda CR-V at Avery Greene Honda.

Brand-New CR-V Hybrid

For the 2020 model year, the CR-V is getting a new hybrid-electric model. New Features

The Touring trim will now come with a heated steering wheel and wireless smartphone charging, while the CR-V gets a more flexible cabin overall. The biggest change mechanically, though, can be seen on the LX trim level. This trim will no longer come standard with a 2.4-liter engine. Instead, it will come with a standard 1.5-liter turbocharged direct-injected four-cylinder engine that produces 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque, while also getting better fuel-efficiency numbers.

More Color Options

You now have the option to pick the color you want, thanks to three new exterior colors: Radiant Red Metallic, Sonic Gray Pearl, and Aegean Blue Pearl.
