2020 Honda CR-V

Efficiency and family-friendliness come together in the 2020 Honda CR-V. That’s why this crossover was recently awarded the title of 2020 Green SUV of the Year from Green Car Journal.

The 2020 CR-V is now on sale at dealerships across America, while the CR-V Hybrid is arriving at dealerships soon, making it the first-ever Honda Hybrid SUV in the American market. The CR-V will come standard with the Honda SensingÒ suite of safety technologies and a more powerful powertrain on the LX trim: a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder.

This is the sixth time that Honda has earned this recognition from Green Car Journal. Last year, the 2019 Insight earned the Green Car of the Year award, joining the 2012 Civic Natural Gas, 2014 Accord, and 2018 Clarity Plug-in Hybrid, Clarity Electric, and Clarity Fuel Cell. The 2016 HR-V also earned the title of Green SUV of the Year.

The addition of the 2020 CR-V Hybrid model is part of the brand’s pursuit of its eco-friendly goal, which is to halve its global CO2 emissions by 2050. To do so, Honda aims to electrify two-thirds of its global automobile sales by 2030. In 2019, the brand’s American electrified vehicle sales were up 34% from last year with more than 50,000 hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and fuel-cell vehicles out on the road.
