It’s one of those ideas that’s so brilliant and obvious that you are dumbfounded it’s taken someone this long to think of it—a built-in vacuum cleaner for a minivan. But Honda—thanks to inspiration from an engineer’s daughter—has finally done it: the HondaVAC comes standard on the Touring Elite model of the 2014 Honda Odyssey, and as Honda’s extensive marketing campaign is proving, they’re quite proud of it.

“Nobody else has a vacuum,” gloated Tom Peyton, Honda’s associate vice president of advertising. “Finding a point of differentiation [for minivans] can be tough, so shame on us if we don’t run with it.”

And run with it, they have. Honda has released several new commercials, using celebrity voice talents to tout the new vacuum. One commercial even features Neil Patrick Harris and Rainn Wilson, and Honda has hinted that more commercials are on their way.

Honda has also been aggressively hyping up the vacuum on Twitter: the automaker has been tweeting smack talk messages to other companies and products about how the HondaVAC will “wipe the floor” with them, if you will. This article compiles most of Honda’s Twitter trash talk.
